1 packet (25 Brussels sprout seeds) (TKA54026)

  • Sow outdoors in spring, thinly into a prepared seed bed, 1cm (1/2in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart.
  • Thin-out seedlings when large enough to handle, around 5-6 weeks from sowing, to 75cm (30in) apart between plants.
  • Water well until established, especially during dry weather.
  • To avoid clubroot, grow brassicas (cabbages, sprouts, cauliflowers, etc) on a different site each year.
  • Sprouts are rich in pro-vitamin A and the B vitamins, and they contain more vitamin C than any other vegetable. Steam cook them to retain the flavour and nutritional content.
