Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews Video
A striking change to the normal English Marigolds, Calendula ‘Power Daisy’ will outlast any other variety of Calendula, with its blooms lasting well into mid autumn months. Not only that, it has been specially bred to be able to grow in much more difficult situations. The naturally spreading habit of the plant has very little need for deadheading too, making it a very low maintenance too! Plant them in containers, hanging baskets and containers on your patio too, all for a truly spectacular display. Height and spread 40cm (16").

Culinary information: Some parts of these flowers are edible. The light peppery taste of the flowers can be added to breads for extra flavour with a touch of colour. Calendula petals can also be used as a substitute for saffron when colouring rice dishes. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Flowering Months
Water regularly until plants are fully established. Deadhead faded calendula flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced and prevent them from self seeding. Culinary note: Calendula flowers are edible. The petals have been used as a substitute for saffron, and they make a bright and zesty addition to salads.
Pot up calendula plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting outdoors later on. When plants are well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them in borders and containers in sun or partial shade.
