Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews
Always a cottage garden favourite, English Marigolds are known for their bright colours and how easy they are to grow. Our Calendula ‘Power Daisy' Collection is no exception to this. The bright and cheerful Yellows and Oranges of these striking Pot Marigolds will keep on flowering again and again all through the summer months on compact mounds of growth, which makes them perfect for growing in patio containers too! Add these amazing plants to your display this year and you won’t be disappointed! Height and spread 40cm (16"). Collection comprises 5 plants each of: Calendula 'Power Daisy Yellow' and Calendula 'Power Daisy Orange'

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Calendulas have a slightly peppery taste and will add a light, tangy flavour to breads and soups, as well as adding a touch of colour. They will make a bright and tasty addition to a tossed salad. You can use fresh or dried petals as an economical substitute for saffron for adding colour to rice or butter. The fresh young leaves can also be used sparingly in salads. For more details about edible flowers click here.

1 Collection (10 Jumbo Plug Plants (5 Of Each Variety) + 2 Patio Pots & Saucers) (KA9130)

Pot up calendula plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting outdoors later on. When plants are well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them in borders and containers in sun or partial shade.
Water regularly until plants are fully established. Deadhead faded calendula flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced and prevent them from self seeding. Culinary note: Calendula flowers are edible. The petals have been used as a substitute for saffron, and they make a bright and zesty addition to salads.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.
