This truly impressive, easy grow annual will amaze you as it comes in to bloom, Californian Poppy 'XL Yellow' will put all the other poppies to shame in your garden. Florescent yellow flowers sit aloft blue/green fern-like foliage. These plants look great as single specimens in mixed displays or as block planting in beds and borders. Simply direct sow where you want them to grow Height: 25cm (10"). Spread 25cm (10").

Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Before sowing, prepare the ground well by raking until the soil is fine and crumbly and remove any large stones. Sow 12mm (1/2") deep, in rows 15cm (6") apart, or scatter seed in beds or borders as a gap filler and lightly cover over. Thin out the seedlings when they are large enough to handle, to about 15cm (6") apart.

Water regularly until plants are fully established. Deadhead faded Eschscholzia flowers to prevent them from self seeding.
