Small double rose-pink blooms
Astonishing abundance of flowers
Upright, narrow growth habit
One of the most popular varieties of camellia, whose winning attributes have been recognised with an RHS Award of Garden Merit. Camellia ‘Spring Festival’ is a welcome sight in spring, being one of the first to come into growth, the new leaves emerging with bronze tints.
An early flowering variety, it boasts an astonishing abundance of blooms from late March until May. The double, rose-pink flowers are relatively small (5-6cm diameter) but are so prolific that they create a striking display which always attracts attention. The small, slightly matt, evergreen leaves provide colour and structure all year round.
Camellia ‘Spring Festival’ has a narrow, columnar habit, so it is easy to slot into the border and can be readily trained as a tree. Height: 4m (13ft). Spread: 2.5m (8.2ft).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Water regularly until plants are fully established. Where possible, use rainwater as the lime contained in tap water will reduce the acidity in the soil over time. Feed Camellias occasionally with fertiliser for acid-loving plants. Protect plants from cold winter winds and strong early morning sunlight, as this may cause the buds to drop in early spring.
Camellias will appreciate an autumn mulch to protect their roots from winter cold. Camellias require little pruning other than to maintain their shape. Lightly trim stems and remove faded blooms immediately after flowering.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.
