Carex oshimensis 'Evercream' is an evergreen, clump-forming grass with long, gracefully arching foliage, variegated dark green with creamy-yellow margins.

Carex oshimensis is one of the most rewarding and useful of evergreen grasses, providing texture and bright accents in shady borders. It looks lovely planted in swathes and softening border edges. A neat, compact habit and attractive, evergreen foliage make this an appealing choice for containers. It provides an effective contrast to larger leaved perennials such as Heuchera and a useful addition to winter arrangements. Height and Spread: 50cm (19").

Plant Carex into any moist, but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Brilliant for patio containers, mixed with flowering plants. Use a John Innes no. 3 soil mixture when planting into pots.

Carex are very easy to maintain; simply comb out any dead and browning foliage during the summer. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Sedge in Spring.
