Description How to Grow Delivery

Treasured for its eye-poppingly vivid cobalt-blue flowers, Ceratostigma plumbaginoides 'Gentian Blue' is a low, spreading herbaceous perennial that makes fabulous colourful groundcover or merits a prominent position toward the front of a sunny border. Red-tinted stems bear clusters of the intense royal blue flowers from August to October. As autumn progresses, the green summer foliage turns to vivid shades of burnt orange and red, bringing a welcome splash of colour to fading borders. Tolerant of a wide range of soils, this blue-flowered leadwort is a great low-maintenance perennial for covering large areas, providing months of colour and interest throughout late summer and autumn. Height: 30cm (12in). Spread: 45cm (18in).

Grow Ceratostigma plants in light, fertile, well drained soil. Choose a sunny position that remains reasonably moist throughout the growing season.
