Coleus ‘Premium Sun Coral Candy’ is a dazzling variety with leaves that are coral pink in the centre, blending into maroon and green towards the margins. The velvety, serrated foliage is long and narrow, gracefully draping down the sides of containers. Coleus ‘Premium Sun Coral Candy’ bears almost no flowers, concentrating its energy into the multicoloured, weather-proof foliage which retains its colour throughout the season. Coleus ‘Premium Sun Coral Candy’ makes a sensational statement in patio pots and borders or bring it indoors as a house or conservatory plant. This versatile coleus adapts to sun or shade. Height : 10 - 16" (25 - 40cm). Spread: 12 - 14" (30 - 35cm).

Pot up Coleus plug plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise painted nettle plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into beds, borders and containers. Plant Coleus plants in fertile, moist, well-drained soil in a sunny or semi-shaded position. Solenostemon can also be grown as houseplants, situated on a warm, bright window sill or in a conservatory or heated greenhouse.

Feed and water Coleus plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Remove any developing flower spikes as they will weaken the plant and cause poor quality foliage. Coleus houseplants should be given full light and a warm position in the winter months. Reduce watering and keep the compost just moist to prevent rotting and fungal diseases developing. Pinch back Solenostemon plants in the spring as growth resumes.
