Cordyline ‘Pink Star’ is a firework of a plant with long, strap-like foliage that explodes from a central stem! Dazzling, pink and burgundy, variegated leaves arch stiffly upwards to create a spectacular architectural focal point. With maturity, plants may also send up panicles of small, creamy-white flowers in early summer. Being evergreen, it provides year round structure and colour, making a superb centrepiece for beds, borders and patio containers. Cordylines are well known for their tolerance to challenging coastal conditions, and make a resilient choice for windswept sites. Height and spread: 1m (3').

Feed and water regularly until fully established. Once established, Cordylines need little attention, but will require some winter protection should temperatures dip below-5C (23F). In cold areas it may be preferable to grow Cordylines in large patio containers that can be moved undercover during the coldest months.
Grow Cordylines on fertile, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun. Cordylines are particularly well suited to mild coastal locations but do enjoy a fertile soil, so it is well worth incorporating some well rotted manure into the soil when planting.
