Cordyline ‘Red Sensation’ makes the perfect focal point for coastal gardens or hot, sunny courtyards. As the years go by, the dense clump of sword-shaped foliage gradually rises upon a bare woody stem, to create a tall, tree-like appearance. The evergreen leaves are dark bronze, contrasting beautifully with its creamy-white, fragrant blooms in summer. A superb choice for a sheltered spot where it will bring an exotic feel to the garden, lasting for many years. Height: 6m (19'). and spread: 3m (10’).

Grow Cordylines on fertile, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun. Cordylines are particularly well suited to mild coastal locations but do enjoy a fertile soil, so it is well worth incorporating some well rotted manure into the soil when planting.

Feed and water regularly until fully established. Once established, Cordylines need little attention, but will require some winter protection should temperatures dip below-5C (23F). In cold areas it may be preferable to grow Cordylines in large patio containers that can be moved undercover during the coldest months.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
