This mini version of the majestic pampas grass allows even small-space gardeners to enjoy this wonderful evergreen grass, providing useful all-year-round texture and structure. Reaching only 70cm high, Cortaderia selloana ‘Minipampas Silver’ forms a sturdy clump of stiff, narrow green foliage with white longitudinal stripes. From August, it throws up silky flower plumes that create a strong focal point in borders and large containers. Height: 70cm (27in). Spread: 65cm (25in).

Plant Pampas Grass into garden borders in a fertile, well-drained garden soil, in full sun. During their first winter, protect the crown of newly-planted specimens.

Cut and comb out older the previous year’s stems each year during winter or late spring.
