Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
Crocosmia 'Firestars Collection' have been specially bred for their bright bicoloured flowers and compact clump forming habit. These vibrant plants, with arching flower stems and sword-shaped foliage, are perfect for sunny herbaceous borders, and are well suited to various types of garden, including cottage and contemporary. These varieties of crocosmia will not spread along the border, but instead grow as larger, compact clumps over time. Height: 75cm (29"). Spread: 10cm (14").

Crocosmia 'Firestars Collection' comprises:

  • Crocosmia 'Firestarter' - Arching stems tipped with funnel-shaped yellow flowers, each with bright orange edges.
  • Crocosmia 'Hot Spot' - Each lemon yellow bloom is decorated with a central ring of deep red blotches.
  • Crocosmia 'Scorchio' - Bright, orange and yellow blooms for citrus colour schemes.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

3 x 9cm Potted Plants (1 of each variety) (KB3115)

Grow Crocosmia in rich fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi shade. If necessary, improve soils by adding plenty of well rotted manure prior to planting.
Crocosmia requires little attention throughout the growing season. Remove old foliage and faded flower stems in autumn and apply a mulch of bark chips or well rotted compost to protect the corms over winter. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Crocosmia in spring to maintain their vigour.
