These sizzling blooms with their punchy colours create a bold pop of colour in borders and containers all the way from late spring until autumn. The exquisite flowers are unlike other bedding annuals and invite closer inspection. The exotic-looking blooms feature unusual crinkly petals flaring from a tubular base with a violet throat. Cuphea Sweet Talk Red and Pink flaunt colour-saturated blooms and an exotic look that associates wonderfully with other bright-coloured annuals, whilst the cooler ‘Lavender Splash’ harmonises with pastel schemes. Although the flowers are relatively small, the plants are tightly branching and smothered with masses of flowers, creating dense masses of colour. Better still, the flowers don’t require any deadheading. Renowned for their heat tolerance and longevity, they will be more than happy in a sun-baked dry border or patio pot. Cuphea are packed with nectar providing a lively gathering spot for bees and butterflies. Height and spread: 30cm (12in).

Pot up Cuphea plugs and grow them on in warm frost free conditions until plants are well grown. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting out in beds, borders, baskets and patio pots. Grow Cuphea in any fertile, well drained soil in full sun.Feed and water Cuphea plants regularly throughout the growing season.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.
Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £6.99.
Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products, a maximum delivery charge of £7.99 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.
Large items may incur a higher delivery charge - this will be displayed in your shopping basket.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting.
