Plant Hemerocallis in a sunny or semi shaded position in moist, well drained soil. Work some well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting.
Feed and water daylilies regularly throughout the growing season. Remove faded daylily flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, remove any yellowing foliage and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant. Lift and divide clumps of daylily plants in autumn every third year to maintain their vigour.
