If you are looking for that impossibly perfect plant which flowers all summer, has a neat, tidy habit, is drought tolerant and low-maintenance, then here it is! The new Dianthus Mountain Frost series have quickly become renowned for their superb garden performance, reblooming consistently from early spring to autumn over neat mounds of strong foliage. Tolerating wind and rain and totally winter hardy, these deceptively dainty beauties are robust performers and the more you cut the flowers the more they just keep on coming!

Height: 15-20cm (6-8”). Spread: 25-30cm (10-12”).

Dianthus Mountain Frost contains 3 Jumbo Plug plants, one of each of the following varieties:

Dianthus ‘Pink Pompom’- small, double, rose-pink flowers above dark green foliage.
Dianthus ‘Pink Twinkle’ – pale pink bicolour blooms with a deep cerise circular eye, above silvery-green foliage.
Dianthus ‘Rose Bouquet’ - Extra-large, deep rose flowers above dark green foliage.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Pot up plug plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting into borders and containers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, and plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Plant Dianthus in beds and borders in fertile, well drained soil in full sun.

Feed and water Dianthus plants regularly until they are fully established. Deadhead faded faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced throughout the summer.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.
