A recognised RHS Award of Garden Merit variety of heather that brings masses of nectar-rich pale pink blooms from February to April. Erica carnea 'Pink Spangels' is a versatile evergreen with a spreading habit that provides excellent ground cover which can be grown in almost any well drained soil and will even cope with light shade. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Unlike some heathers, Erica carnea cultivars are lime tolerant and will grow equally well in almost any garden soil. Grow Erica carnea in well-drained soil in full sun. When growing in containers, use a good quality soil-based potting mix.

During the growing season, water Erica plants regularly and feed with a half-strength liquid fertiliser every 4 weeks. After flowering, trim Heathers with shears to remove faded blooms and promote bushy growth.
