This spreading heather is great for suppressing weeds. From February to March Erica x darleyensis f. albiflora 'White Perfection'is covered in pure white flowers, that contrast with its bright evergreen foliage and looks great alongside snowdrops and crocus. As a cultivar of Erica x darleyensis, it can thrive in any type of soil that is well drained. The Royal Horticultural Society awarded this heather cultivar its prestigious Award of Garden Merit. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Unlike some heathers, Erica darleyensis cultivars are lime tolerant and will grow equally well in almost any garden soil. Grow Erica darleyensis in well-drained soil in full sun. When growing in containers, use a good quality soil-based potting mix.

During the growing season, water Erica plants regularly and feed with a half-strength liquid fertiliser every 4 weeks. After flowering, trim Heathers with shears to remove faded blooms and promote bushy growth.
