If you buy just one Euphorbia for your garden, make it this one... it's a stunner! This fast-growing perennial produces stiff, upright, red-green stems, supporting narrow green leaves which fade to vibrant shades of red and yellow in the autumn. In early summer, bright red-orange flowers emerge which persist on the plant, fading to yellow-orange in the autumn. The overall effect is of glowing hot embers, making Euphorbia griffithii 'Fireglow' a fantastic addition to hot-themed borders where it will spread to form a small colony. A fantastic groundcover plant for partial shade. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 100cm (39"). Supplied in a 9cm pot.

Flowering Months
Water Euphorbia regularly during periods of hot and dry weather. In autumn, cut back faded Euphorbia flowers and stems, making sure you wear gloves to protect from the irritating milky sap. In spring, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Large established clumps of Euphorbia griffithii can be lifted and divided in early spring.
Caution: Irritant to skin and eyes and toxic if eaten. Gradually acclimatise Euphorbia griffithii 'Fireglow' to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days. Grow Euphorbia in a fertile, moist but well drained soil, in partial or dappled shade. Spurge plants prefer soil which is rich in organic matter and will happily grow in improved clay soils. Incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or compost prior to planting to improve heavy clay or light sandy soils. Plant Euphorbia plants at the same level as they were in the pot and firm in, watering well to settle the soil.
