No herbaceous border is complete without at least a few Foxgloves! These classic cottage garden plants conjure up images of a typical English country garden in early summer. The upright flower spikes always attract bees, making Digitalis ideal for planting in wildlife areas. Our foxglove collection is the perfect way to get your hands on these super hardy perennials at a fantastic price. These Foxglove plugs can be potted up and grown on ready to be planted out in autumn. Once established they will seed about and multiply, popping up to fill gaps in borders, or meandering along the shaded edges of woodlands.

Please note: At such a great price, we can't take orders for specific varieties, but we're sure you'll be delighted with your collection! Varieties supplied may vary from those illustrated.

Flowering Months
Water foxglove plants regularly until fully established. Foxgloves self-seed freely. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead stems of foxglove flowers as the blooms fade. In autumn, cut back old stems to encourage plenty of new side shoots. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, toxic if eaten.
Pot up digitalis plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting outdoors later on. When plants are well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them in borders and containers in sun or partial shade. If plants are received in the autumn, pot them up and grow them on in cool, bright, frost-free conditions over winter. Although foxgloves prefer a fertile, moist soil, they will happily tolerate almost any soil except those that are excessively dry or waterlogged.
