Hardy Fuchsias come in all shapes and sizes – just take a look at this collection! We’ve brought together a choice selection of varieties to provide a hardy Fuchsia for every space in your garden; from the dwarf cultivar ‘Tom Thumb’ to the climbing stems of ‘Lady Boothby’. These free-flowering deciduous shrubs are prized for their exotic blooms and bushy foliage. A wonderful addition to mixed borders, cottage gardens and exotic planting schemes.

  • Fuchsia ‘Hardy Potted Collection’ comprises:
  • Fuchsia ‘Alice Hoffman’ - Bronze-green foliage contrasts beautifully with a mass of red and white, semi-double flowers. Height and spread: 60cm (24”).
  • Fuchsia ‘Delta Sarah’ - Snow white sepals contrast with frills of unusual semi-double blue petals. Height and spread: 90cm (36").
  • Fuchsia ‘Genii’- Magenta red sepals curl back to reveal dainty petals in a shade of deep indigo blue, contrasting with its glowing golden foliage. Height and spread: 90cm (36").
  • Fuchsia ‘Lady Boothby’ – A climbing Fuchsia bearing a multitude of pendulous magenta and deep purple flowers on tall red stems. Will require the support of a frame or trellis. Height: 3m (10'). Spread: 90cm (36").
  • Fuchsia ‘Tom Thumb’ – A dwarf variety which is covered with pink-red and purple flowers from June onwards. Height and spread: 30cm (12").
  • Fuchsia magellanica var. gracilis 'Versicolor' – Olive green foliage splashed with cream and pink variegation makes a bright backdrop for the slender scarlet and indigo flowers. Height: 1m (3’). Spread: 1.5m (5’).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Grow Fuchsias in containers or borders, in any moist, well drained soil. Position in a sunny or semi shaded site which is protected from cold winds over winter.
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, a bark or compost mulch applied to the base of fuchsia plants will help to protect hardy fuchsias from winter cold.
