Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

A collection of ivy-leaved Geraniums in five bold Mediterranean colours that will simply flower their socks off all summer! Geranium Balls of Fire Collection features trailing stems and large, semi-double flowers offset by glossy, deep green, ivy-shaped leaves. Coming in a range of vivid shades, these trailing ivy-leaf pelargoniums look incredible spilling from window boxes, patio pots and hanging baskets. Heat and drought tolerant, they won’t flinch at a scorching summer and will recover quickly if you occasionally forget to water them. Non-stop blooms through summer and into autumn that are guaranteed to grab attention!

Although technically perennial, pelargoniums are only half-hardy and therefore normally treated as annuals in the UK. However, they can also be overwintered in a frost-free greenhouse or conservatory.

Height: 50cm (20in). Trailing to 30-60cm (12-24in).

When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise geraniums to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions in containers, beds and borders. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, non-acidic, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
Feed and water geranium plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of geranium flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.
