These stunning Geraniums will bring a blaze of colour to beds and patio pots. Geranium 'Classic Scarlet Red' is a robust zonal Pelargonium that has bushy branching stems and beautiful lush-green leaves. The flowers will rise above the foligae atop the sturdy stems from early on in the summer. The dome-shaped flowers won't shatter quickly so a long lasting display is assured. For a mediterranean feel try planting in terracotta planters on the patio. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 35cm (14").

Pot up pelargonium plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise geranium plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions in containers, beds and borders. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, non-acidic, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
Feed and water geranium plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of geranium flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.
