Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

Geranium ‘Tall Dark & Handsome’ Mixed Collection contains our two sensational climbing Geraniums from our own Thompson and Morgan breeding programme. 'Tall Dark & Handsome Hot Pink' and 'Tall Dark & Handsome Orange' are both striking pelargoniums with vivid flowers which give bright pops of colour against complementary dark foliage with a brighter green margin. These climbing pelargoniums can be trained onto any support to make a stunning patio feature. They make perfect specimens for our tower pots, creating columns of intense colour all summer. Height: 120cm (48"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Pot up pelargonium plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise geraniums to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days and move them into their final positions in patio containers and borders. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, well drained soil. Provide a suitable support such as an obelisk or climbing frame to train the stems onto as they grow. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
Feed and water geranium plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. As the long stems increase in length, tie them onto a support such as a freestanding climbing frame, using soft twine to train them upwards. Pinch the stems back for a second time. Regular deadheading of geranium flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.
