Pot up gerbera plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When they are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before transplanting into their final positions. Plant gerberas outdoors in fertile, well drained soil in sheltered, sunny borders. When growing gerbera in patio containers, use a loam based compost such as John Innes No.2.Feed and water gerbera regularly throughout the growing season. In milder parts of the UK, these Gerbera are hardy outdoors, if grown in a sheltered position and provided with winter protection during particularly cold periods. In particularly cold areas it is preferable to grow gerbera plants in containers that can be moved to a frost free position during winter.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting.
