Hardy osteospermums are perfect for containers, rockeries and the front of sun-baked borders. This trio of superb varieties in contrasting shades is sure to create a fabulous display. Versatile and resilient, African Daisies will thrive in hot, dry, neglected conditions, yet remain some of longest-flowering plants in the garden! Expect vibrant summer colour and weed-suppressing ground cover from these easy to grow, sun-loving perennials. Thriving in a well-drained, sheltered spot, they will triumph over heat, drought and light frosts.

  • Osteospermum Tresco Purple – Bold pink daisy flowers open every morning to greet the sun. Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 90cm (36").
  • Osteospermum Snow Pixie – A perfect contrast to its purple-pink coloured cousins, sporting clean, white petals with a golden yellow eye. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 90cm (36").
  • Osteospermum Sennen Sunrise – Pale pink petals with darker pink veins and flushes of white at the tips surround a deep indigo-purple centre, which is accentuated by a bright halo of golden orange pollen. Height: 25cm (10"). Spread: 30cm (12").

9 Jumbo Plug Plants (KF1962)

Pot up hardy osteospermum daisies and grow them on in frost free conditions until plants are well grown. When plants are well developed and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting them outdoors into borders and patio containers. Grow osteospermum plants in any well drained soil in a warm, sheltered position in full sun. African Daisies dislike cold wet soils. Improve heavy soil prior to planting by adding plenty of coarse grit.
Feed and water osteospermum plants regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded osteospermum flowers throughout the flowering period to encourage more blooms to be produced.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.
