Helenium 'Ruby Tuesday' gets its name from the daisy-like flowers it produces between July and September. Copper-red, fluted petals surround a saffron yellow and ruby centre, introducing the beautiful colours of autumn to gardens in the late summer. This sneezeweed works best in borders alongside ornamental grasses, particularly in prairie planting schemes but it is also compact enough to be grown in a moist container with plenty of sunlight. Wherever it's planted, bees and other pollinating insects are drawn to the late summer flowers. Like all hardy perennials, Helenium 'Ruby Tuesday', which is also known as 'Ruby Thuesday' and Helen's Flower, should be cut back after flowering, although the blooms can also be cut earlier to feature in indoor displays. Helenium prefers a sunny position on reliably moist soil that is rich in organic matter. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil to improve its structure and fertility prior to planting.

Feed and water plants regularly until they are fully established. Deadhead faded helenium flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Divide overcrowded clumps of helenium in spring and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant.

Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
