This tough little Rock Rose is ideal for difficult, dry areas on thin, gritty soils. The spreading stems and silvery, evergreen foliage provides good ground cover, particularly in coastal areas or sunny banks. From late spring to summer, Helianthemum 'Peachy Keen' bears fully double, papery, pink flowers which bring a lovely splash of colour to rockeries and alpine troughs. Once established, this easy going, hardy shrub is resilient and drought tolerant. Height: 20cm (8"). Spread: 30cm (12").

Pot up helianthemums and grow them on in frost free conditions. When plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise rock roses to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting outdoors. Grow helianthemum plants in moderately fertile, neutral or alkaline soil in full sun. Once established, rock roses can easily tolerate dry sandy soils. Choose a position in full sun.
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, rock roses are relatively drought tolerant and require minimal maintenance. After flowering, prune helianthemum stems back to within 3cm (1”) of the previous growth.
