Hemerocallis ‘Mildred Mitchell’ is a classic variety in a sophisticated colour palette which blends beautifully with other border perennials.

Large, fragrant flowers up to 17cm wide, are delicately painted in lavender pink with a bluish-purple eye and yellow-green throat.

Hemerocallis are reliable hardy perennials with large, exotic-looking blooms from mid-summer to autumn above clumps of arching, strap-like leaves. They are easy to grow, tolerating even difficult clay soils and demanding very little maintenance. Height: 60-70cm (24" to 26"). Spread: 60cm (24”).

Plant bareroot daylilies at the earliest opportunity following delivery in moist, well drained, fertile soil, and situated in full sun. Growing hemerocallis plants in dry soils or shaded conditions may reduce the number of flowers produced.
For the best performance keep day lily plants well watered whilst they are in flower and deadhead faded daylily flowers regularly. In autumn remove any old, ragged foliage and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost around the base of daylily plants.
