For non-stop colour in late summer and autumn, try these unique half hardy perennials! Similar to a blue chrysanthemum, Heteropappus meyendorfii is a late-flowering plant, forming compact mounds of brilliant lilac-blue daisy flowers with golden honeycomb centres. A slightly spreading habit makes Heteropappus perfect for filling gaps in herbaceous borders, as ground cover or grown in containers on the patio. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 45cm (18"). Supplied as plug plants.

10 heteropappus plug plants (V56875)
5 heteropappus plug plants (V56876)

Pot up Heteropappus plug plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to transplant outdoors. Once well grown, gradually acclimatise Heteropappus plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before planting in beds, borders and patio containers. Grow blue chrysanthemum in fertile, moist, well drained soil in a sunny or semi shaded position.
Water blue chrysanthemum plants regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded Heteropappus flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.
