This colour-changing Heuchera provides lively foliage interest all season. Heuchera ‘Autumn Leaves’ unfurls scallop-edged reddish-pink leaves in the spring which turn shades of caramel and red in summer, followed by rich, ruby red in the autumn. Forms neat mounds of colourful, semi-evergreen foliage which is perfect for running along the front of borders, as ground cover or planted in containers. Grown primarily for its foliage, sprays of small, white flowers are produced in the summer. This variety is noted for its good tolerance to heat and humidity. Height: 30cm (13in). Spread: 45cm (18in).

Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.

Feed and water coral flower plants regularly until they are fully established.Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant each spring. Lift and divide clumps of heuchera plants every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
