Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

Heuchera 'Stormy Seas' is a resilient, easy to grow plant, making it ideal for ground cover in tricky areas of the garden. Heuchera are ideal in bedding schemes, mixed summer and autumn containers and baskets or perennial borders. The foliage on this evergreen plant is maroon-red with a green underside and creamy-white bell flowers can be seen on tall spikes throughout the summer. Thanks to its versatility, Heuchera 'Stormy Seas' will thrive in either sun or part shade. Height and Spread: 40cm (16").

Culinary information: The leaves can be tossed in with other greens for a mixed salad, typically too bitter to eat on their own, they will add a tangy kick to an otherwise bland salad. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Feed, water and weed between plants regularly until they are fully established. Apply mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant in autumn or spring. Lift and divide clumps of heuchera every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in a moist, well drained soil, adding compost or well rotted manure to amend excessively heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.
