Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
A popular heuchera producing rich, glossy burgundy leaves followed by airy sprays of salmon-pink flowers. This superb semi-evergreen perennial flowers from late spring through to midsummer and looks spectacular combined with other brightly coloured foliage plants or flowers for contrast. Heuchera villosa ‘Purple Palace’ is fantastic for containers, the front of borders, or planted in drifts as ground cover, where the dainty flowers will attract bees. Height and spread: 60cm (24").

Culinary information: The leaves can be tossed in with other greens for a mixed salad, typically too bitter to eat on their own, they will add a tangy kick to an otherwise bland salad. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Flowering Months
Feed, water and weed between plants regularly until they are fully established. Apply mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant in autumn or spring. Lift and divide clumps of heuchera every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in a moist, well drained soil, adding compost or well rotted manure to amend excessively heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.
