Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
This striking two-tone variety makes a wonderful focal point. The bicolour mophead blooms of Hydrangea macrophylla 'Camilla' are deep pink, edged with broad white margins when grown in alkaline soils. In acid soils the blooms are darker mauve-purple with white edges. This rounded, bushy shrub makes a fine specimen for a patio container, and brings elegance and interest to mixed borders. As the flowers fade, the dark foliage turns to red and gold, extending the season of interest well into autumn. Height and spread: 120cm (48").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Hydrangea macrophylla prefers a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any rich fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, e
Water regularly until plants are fully established. Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space and to improve the shape of the plant. After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: Contact with hydrangea foliage may irritate the skin and eyes and all parts are harmful if eaten.
