This collection of French Lavenders is perfect for adding fragrance and colour to your summer patio pots. The silvery-green foliage is richly aromatic, providing an attractive backdrop for its plump flower spikes, which appear from early summer. Each bloom wears a halo of showy bracts that flutter in the breeze. Plant these Lavenders in a sunny spot where they will attract plenty of attention from pollinating insects. Height and spread: 60cm (24").

Grow French lavender plants on free draining soil in full sun. Lavenders dislike wet ground, particularly during winter. Improve heavy soil conditions by adding coarse grit or sharp sand prior to planting. When growing French lavender in large patio containers, use a well drained soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. After planting, prune lavender plants to encourage bushy growth.
