Delivery Information View Product DescriptionLoading...Description More Info DeliveryUnusually for a cos lettuce, ‘Globus’ forms large, rounded, yellow-green heads, providing more leaves in the same space as regular ‘bullet-shaped’ cos varieties. Maturing in 95-110 days, this medium-late variety provides mouth-watering, crispy leaves with a superb flavour. Also good for growing as baby leaves. Height: 30cm (12”). Spread: 25cm (10”).

Water lettuce frequently and hoe between plants regularly to prevent weeds from establishing. Dry weather may cause heads of lettuce plants to bolt so watering is particularly critical during the 2 weeks before harvesting. A thick mulch applied around the plants will help to retain moisture in the soil. Harvest lettuce when required by pulling up the entire plant before trimming off the stem with a knife.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
