The broad, pleated leaves held aloft on slender, thorny stems make a striking architectural feature and its broad canopy of angular foliage looks especially wonderful growing in the contrasting rounded form of its rustic wicker pot. This beautiful Livistona rotundifolia makes an eye-catching centre piece and is easy to care for, remaining a manageable size for many years due to its slow growth habit. Ultimate height: 2m (78”). Grow Livistonia in bright, filtered light, well away from the direct glare of the sun. This palm enjoys normal room temperatures above 13C (55F). The foliage is at its best when grown in good humidity.

Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Take care to drain plants well after watering as Livistonia is prone to rotting in wet soils. Reduce watering in winter, to keep the soil most but not wet.
