- Sow seed on the surface of a free-draining, seed compost. Do not cover the seed.
- Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag, keep at 20-25°C (68-77F) until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days. Do not exclude daylight as this helps germination.
- Transplant seedlings in bunches when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots.
- Grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 15cm (6in) apart, or plant into containers and baskets.
