Lobelia x speciosa 'Fan Mixed' has upright flower spikes with narrow crimson, mauve and pink petals in charming shades. Blooming from late summer until autumn, the flowers are beautifully offset by dark bronze-green foliage. This eye-catching Lobelia thrives in moist, even boggy conditions, making it ideal for planting at a ponds edge or damp herbaceous border, it is usually grown as a biennial. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 23cm (9").

Grow Lobelia in a sheltered position in sun or semi-shade on reliably moist, fertile soil. Lobelia speciosa copes well with boggy soils and can be planted at the edge of ponds and streams.
Cut back old lobelia foliage in autumn and apply a dry mulch of bark chips or straw to protect the crown of the plant during winter.
