Mammillaria zeilmanniana

Grow cacti in full light with some shelter from the hottest sun. Strong light is required to induce flowering but avoid exposure to direct sun for too long as this can cause sunburn. An average temperature of 10- 23C (50-75F) is ideal.

Water regularly with soft water or rain water but avoid overwatering, always allowing the compost to dry out slightly between watering intervals. Never leave in standing water as this will cause your cactus rot. Feed regularly between March and September with cactus fertiliser when in active growth. In winter, while the plant is dormant, the compost should remain dry and kept in a dry atmosphere with good airflow.
