Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews
Flowering from June through to November, this is possibly one of the most easy to grow and reliable of all marigolds. Marigold ‘Fireball’ will carpet an area in deep red buds, which open into deep orange flowers for a very dramatic display. Plant them in drifts in a bedding display or en masse in a container for an impressive impact. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 25cm (10")

Culinary information: The citrus tasting flowers have many uses, try them in salads, sandwiches or seafood dishes too. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Flowering Months
Feed and water marigold plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of marigold flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer. Culinary note: Marigold flowers have a mild citrus flavour. Use them in sandwiches, salads, fish dishes and hot desserts.
Pot up marigold plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise marigolds to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days and transplant them into their final positions in containers and borders. Plant marigolds in well drained soil in full sun. When growing marigolds pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
