Moor Grass is perfect for planting in borders where the tall slender flower spikes will bring texture and movement. The tall and slender flower spikes are topped with silvery-purple blooms. This variegated variety forms a neat tussock of cream and green striped leaves that turn to gold into Autumn. This hardy deciduous grass is easy to grow and will associate beautifully when planted in large groups with other grasses. Height: 120cm (48”). Spread: 60cm (24”).

Molinia can be grown in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil but it particularly enjoys an acid soil. Choose a position in full sun or part shade.

Feed and water Molinia plants regularly until fully established. Cut back dead foliage and stems to ground level in early spring before new growth appears. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Molinia grass every third year to maintain their vigour.
