If you crave a touch of the tropics in your garden try growing Oleander 'Yellow'; a showy, evergreen shrub with sweetly fragrant flowers! The creamy coloured blooms with yellow centres are borne in clusters above stems of leathery, dark green, lance-shaped leaves. The abundance of pretty blooms are produced throughout summer and well into the autumn, and are followed by bean-like seed pods. This Nerium has a compact habit making it ideal for growing in patio containers, as a specimen plant in garden borders or in coastal gardens, where it withstands salt spray well. Despite Oleander’s subtropical origins, this fantastic variety is hardy down to -6°C (21°F)! In particularly cold areas grow Oleander in containers which can be moved to a protected position during the winter months. Please take care when handling Oleander as contact with the foliage may irritate the skin. Oleander is toxic if eaten. Height: 1.5m (5'). Spread: 1m (3'). Supplied in 14cm pots.

Flowering Months
Lightly prune Oleander shrubs in late spring to remove any shoots that spoil the shape of the plant. Reduce the stems to fit the available space, and remove any damaged, crossing or wayward stems. If necessary, Oleander plants will tolerate occasional hard regenerative pruning. Deadhead faded Oleander flowers regularly to prolong their display. Take care to wear gloves and long sleeves when pruning Oleander as contact with the foliage and sap may irritate the skin.
Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, toxic if eaten. Pot up Oleander plants and grow them on in a cool, bright position until large enough to plant outside. When they are well grown, acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions for 7 to 10 days before planting out in their final positions. Plant Nerium oleander in a sheltered spot in fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun. Oleander plants are hardy down to -6°C (21°F). In particularly cold areas they are best grown in a patio container that can be moved to a sheltered position over winter.
