Stunningly bright and colourful, Ornamental Kale 'Northern Lights Fringed Mix' is something different for the autumn and winter garden. The intricate veins of the outer leaves are flushed with either white or purple to compliment the crinkly-edged inner leaves which form a frilly bouquet of colour. Superb as winter bedding plants in beds, borders and containers, the young leaves of ornamental cabbages can also be picked for a tasty and colourful addition to salads. Fully hardy, these superb value kale plants will take on their bright leaf colours as night temperatures fall in early autumn. Height: 25cm (10"). Spread: 40cm (16"). Supplied as plug plants.

Pot up ornamental kale plug plants and grow them on in a bright position outdoors. When plugs are fully rooted into their pots, transplant into their final positions in beds, borders and patio containers. Plant ornamental cabbages in fertile, neutral to alkaline, well drained soil in full sun.

Water ornamental cabbage plants well until established. Please note that ornamental kale will start to produce its bright colours once night temperatures fall from early autumn onwards.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.

Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £6.99.
