Pea 'Sugar Ann' produces heavy crops from very early in the season. Its cropping period can be extended further with successional sowings. The succulent pods of this RHS AGM variety can be eaten immature while they are stringless but not so sweet, or for larger, sweeter pods, harvest them later when fully developed with the strings removed. Ideal raw or in stir fries and suitable for freezing. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 25cm (10").

Support pea plants with twiggy sticks, wire or netting as they grow, and use fine netting to protect pea crops from birds and pea moth damage. When growing peas, regular and thorough watering especially when in flower will improve crop yields. Harvest peas around 14 weeks after sowing when the pods have swollen. Regular picking will encourage further cropping.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
