They have the added advantage that they can be moved when necessary to their optimum growing conditions (shelter from frost in spring and full sun in summer)! Height of stem supplied 60cm (24"). Supplied in a 23cm pot.

Feed and water patio peach trees regularly throughout the summer. As fruits begin to develop, pinch some out, to produce the best quality, largest peaches. Aim to leave one fruit every 20cm (8") along each branch. Pruning peach trees can be kept to a minimum. They require only light pruning in late spring to keep their shape. Peaches can be harvested from July when the fruits have ripened. The flesh of a ripe peach will feel slightly soft when gently pressed with your thumb. As peach trees increase in size they will require transplanting into increasingly larger pots up to 60cm (2') diameter.
Repot peach trees into patio containers in a well drained, soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Transplant them at the same soil level as they were in their original pots and firm in well. Water thoroughly and position in a sheltered site in full sun. A south facing position is ideal to reduce the risk of frost damage to the flowers as this will affect the fruit crop later on. If a severe frost threatens, container grown peaches can be temporarily moved to a frost free position in a cool conservatory or greenhouse.
