Description How to Grow Delivery

Plant our Perennial Collection this spring and look forward to a gorgeous mixture of colourful flowers this year and for many years to come. The collection has been carefully selected for a long season of colour, commencing with the early blooms of Aquilegia, following up with the long-lasting spikes of Salvia nemerosa and continuing into the autumn with Verbena and Coneflowers. The collection also features varied flower shapes and habits, from the vertical spires of Delphiniums to the cheerful daisy-like Coreopsis and the airy sprays of Verbena ‘Buenos Aires.’ With a colour palette of blues, purples and pinks complemented by the golden yellow of Coreopsis ‘Golden Joy,’ this beautifully balanced collection of perennials will create a picture-perfect arrangement in your flower borders.

Perennial Collection comprises the following varieties:

  • Salvia nemorosa 'Salvatore Deep Blue' (6 plugs) - Brings a lovely vertical accent to the front of borders with its erect flower spikes. Tiny, indigo blue flowers crowd the dark stems as they rise above a low clump of foliage. This eye-catching Salvia is always busy with pollinating insects who are drawn to the nectar-rich flowers. Height: 35cm (14"). Spread: 30cm (12").
  • Verbena 'Buenos Aires' (6 plugs) - Features tightly clustered, rich purple florets which sit atop long stalks in a typically striking verbena bonariensis style. The long-lasting blooms of this stunning variety are guaranteed to attract clouds of bees and butterflies into your garden. Height: 120cm (48"). Spread: 60cm (24").
  • Echinacea 'Nectar Pink' (6 plugs)  - Deep rose pink petals surround the central cone of this pretty Echinacea. Like all Coneflowers, Echinacea 'Nectar Pink' blooms over the entire summer, attracting pollinating insects to the garden. This variety is free flowering with a compact, branching habit. Useful for cutting and can be used either fresh or dried. Height: 85cm (33"). Spread: 45cm (18").
  • Coreopsis 'Golden Joy' (6 plugs) – A compact, mounding type, it will look fabulous planted towards the front of borders or as edging. Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil for your Coreopsis and you’ll be rewarded with a wonderful burst of semi-double, daisy-like flowers all summer. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 40cm (16").
  • Aquilegia 'Mrs Scott-Elliott' (6 plugs) - Masses of pretty bicoloured blooms in shades of lilac, creamy white, red and yellow carried delicately on tall wiry stems, they are commonly known as ‘Granny’s Bonnet’ due to their shape. Perfect for cottage garden borders and woodland planting schemes. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 40cm (16").
  • Delphinium 'Dark Blue & White Bee' (6 plugs) - These magnificent delphinium blooms are certain to create quite an impact in your garden this season. Delphinium 'Dark Blue & White Bee' has intense dark blue flowers, each with an unusual white "bee" shape at the centre! Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 30cm (12").
