Our Patio Shrub Collection brings together three of our customer favourites! Each shrub has been carefully selected to add seasonal interest to your patio pots or garden borders.

Hydrangeas are prized for their summer colour and lovely autumn foliage, while Gardenia provides a rich summer perfume and glossy evergreen foliage for year round interest. We’ve even included the popular patio climber, Clematis ‘Taiga’, for height, structure and a profusion of summer flowers.

  • Patio Shrub Collection comprises:
  • 1 x Gardenia jasminoides ‘Kleim's Hardy’ (9cm pot) - The heavenly fragrance of the first hardy Gardenia variety. Height and spread: 90cm (36").
  • 1 x Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Glam Rock’ (9cm pot) - A psychedelic frenzy of multicoloured flower heads, that will create a real 'wow factor’. Height and spread: 120cm (47").
  • 1 x Clematis florida ‘Taiga’ (9cm pot) - A flamboyant climber producing countless blooms throughout summer against a background of rich green foliage. Height 200cm (79"). Spread 100cm (39")

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Flowering Months
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. After flowering, prune stems lightly to maintain the shape of the plants and restrict them to their allocated space. Repot container grown plants into increasingly larger pots when necessary.
Repot each plant into a slightly larger container, using soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Alternatively, plant them directly into sunny, well drained borders. Attach the twining stems of the Clematis to a suitable climbing support with soft ties. Water well to settle the soil.
