Philotheca myoporoides is the perfect addition to the conservatory. This evergreen, half hardy shrub has zesty scented foliage that brings to mind a cooling gin and tonic! Flowering in winter and spring, it brings its pretty star-shaped blooms and wonderful heady scent to lift your spirits on those cold, grey days. Grown in a container, this compact shrub makes a superb focal point in your home. In summer it can be moved to the patio outside, but be sure to bring it back in before the first frost. In very mild locations it may even be grown outdoors all year round. Height: 2m (6’). Spread: 2m (6’).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Grow in a conservatory, cool greenhouse or sheltered part of the garden where it won’t get hit by frost in winter. If growing indoors, choose a well-lit position away from a heat source. Pot up into ericaceous compost and water moderately whenever the surface of the soil appears dry. Feed indoor-grown plants regularly between spring and autumn while in growth.
After flowering, lightly trim the plant and transfer to a sheltered spot outdoors when all risk of frost has passed. Return to their position indoors by the end of September to avoid plants being damaged by frost.
