Flowering for literally months on end, this reliable hardy perennial forms lush rosettes of green foliage that makes superb ground cover. Ideal for filling containers, beds and borders with a colourful, long lasting display. Height and spread: 25cm (10"). Supplied as plug tray plants.
Culinary information: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Try the sweet tasting petals on top of salads or even pancakes, crystallise them for use as cake decorations too. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Pot up plugs and grow them on in cool, bright, frost free conditions. Water sparingly. When fully rooted into their pots, gradually acclimatise polyanthus plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days prior to transplanting them in their final positions.Feed and water polyanthus plants regularly. Take care not to over water during winter months as cold, wet conditions may cause the plants to rot. Deadhead faded polyanthus flower stems to encourage more blooms to be produced. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant in autumn. Lift and divide clumps of polyanthus every 3 years in May to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products, a maximum delivery charge of £7.99 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting.
