Thompson & Morgan is delighted to work alongside the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to offer special seed collections to home gardeners. The Kew Collection and The Kew Urban Garden Collection have been specially selected by The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

A real stunner! Splendid fully double blooms in fabulous lilac and violet shades make this poppy a 'must have' for this year's summer borders. Poppy Tallulah Belle Blush is best sown directly into the garden in drifts from March to early June; the resulting large pom-pom head poppies will flower all summer and will provide attractive seed pods in the autumn for dried flower arrangements.

Culinary note: All poppies are poisonous. However the seeds produced from Papaver somniferum and Papaver paeoniflorum can be eaten and are used for adding extra flavour, crunch and bite to breads and cakes. Sow seeds from March to April, thinly, 3mm (1/8in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart in well-cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Water ground regularly, especially in dry periods.Seeds can also be sown outdoors in August to September for early summer flowering next year.

When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart.
